Chaddie "Duke" Cunningham, 82, died at his residence in Little York IN, Sunday, December 21 2003. He was born April 6 1921 in Lena IL to Clemmie & Clemma (Trueblood) Cunningham. Duke had resided in Indianapolis a number of years, was a former tool milling room machinist, retired in l981 from Western Electric, a member of the Little York Christian Church, American Legion, Telephone Pioneers and a veteran of the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son. He is survived by his wife, Lois (Hawn) Cunningham; daughters, Carol A Cunningham & Jean C Nichols both of Indianapolis IN; brother Glen Cunningham of Scottsburg; sisters Mary Vincent of Sacramento CA & Betty Bane of Little York IN and 3 grandchildren.
Visitation: 3-7PM Friday December 26 2003 & after 9am Saturday at Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 11am Saturday December 27  2003 at the funeral home with Greg Shuler officiating & burial in Little York Cemetery with Military Graveside Service. Eugene Franklin Gay, 72, died, Sunday, December 21 2003 at his residence in Indianapolis IN. He was born September 15 1931 in Underwood IN to Harry F & Virginia (Crum) Gay, deceased. Eugene was a member of Fairview Christian Church in Underwood; Little York F&AM #512; Indianapolis Valley Scottish Rite & a veteran  of the Air Force as a Sgt in Korea. He was a former plumber & electrician & retired from Old Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown IN. Survivors: daughters: Robin Costin of Pekin, Renee Spicer & Laurie Cochran of Scottsburg; brother Walter D Gay of Fredricksburg IN & sisters Joan Elliott & Laura Hood both of Indianapolis IN along with 8 grandchildren.
Visitation: 4-8pm Monday 12-22-03 & after 9am Tuesday. Funeral Services 11am Tuesday 12-23-03 at Stewart Funeral with Pastor Tommy Jordan officiating & burial in Fairview Cemetery in Underwood IN. Masonic Service 7pm Monday & American Legion Graveside Service Tuesday. Memorial Contributions to United Way c/o of Stewart Funeral Home.

 

Mima Elizabeth Broady Marsh, 90, of Crothersville IN died Monday, December 15 2003 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour IN. She was a lifetime resident of the area and was born in Franklin Twp/Washington County IN on December 22 1912 to Wilford & Sara Elizabeth (Applegate) Broady. Mima was a member of First Baptist Church in Crothersville IN and was a retired fancy stitcher 20 year employee of the U.S.Shoe Corp in Crothersville IN. Survivors: daughters, Geraldine Prather of Seymour, Inez Carr & Phyllis Hamblin of Crothersville; 1/2 brother Marvin Edward Broady of Underwood; 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands James Amos & Paul Marsh; a daughter; a stepbrother; 2 brothers; a 1/2 sister; a sister and a grandchild.

Visitation: 4-8PM Wednesday & after 9am Thursday. Services 11am Thursday December 18 2003 at Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Pearce officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Underwood IN. Memorial Contributions to building funds of the First Baptist Church in Crothersville IN or Fairview Christian Church c/o of Stewart Funeral Home.
