Leslie Ann Cozart, 21, died August 27 2004 in Scottsburg Indiana. She was born January 8 1983 in Jeffersonville Indiana to James C & Diana Arbuckle Cozart. Leslie was a 2001 graduate of Scottsburg High School, attended IUS, was a receptionist at Kleinert, Kutz & Associates in Louisville KY, member of American Martyrs Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxillary. Survivors: her parents, Jim & Diana Cozart; brother, Michael Cozart, maternal grandmother, Marjorie Arbuckle all of Scottsburg IN along with cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Visitation: 5-9pm EST Sunday August 29
2004 and after 9am Monday at Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral Mass: 11am EST Monday
August 30 2004 at American Martyrs Catholic Church with Father Tom Schliessmann
officiating and burial in Bethel Cemetery, Leota IN. Special Services: Prayer

Bertha P Elliott, 75, died Wednesday, August 25 2004 at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour IN. She was born July 2 1929 in New Albany IN to Irvin & Pearl Hardin Petri, deceased. She was married to Wayne H Elliott, deceased. Mr. & Mrs. Elliott had previously resided in Riverview Florida and also on Westlake West Road in Scottsburg. Mrs. Elliott was a retired LPN Home Health Care Hospice Nurse for 9 years and a member of Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church. Survivors: Sons: Larry W & wife Nancy Elliott of Seymour IN and Kenneth R & wife Robyn Elliott of Rio Rancho NM; brothers; Ervin Petri of Clarksville IN, James Petri of Sellersburg IN; Donald Petri of Louisville KY, Robert Petri of Jeffersonville IN; sisters; Deanie Eaheart of Austin IN, Mildred Sutt of Clarksville IN, Margaret Gibson of San Ysidro CA; 7 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother & 2 sisters.

Tracie Jean Kerstiens,
97, died
at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Mrs. Kerstiens had been residing at
the Robert E Lee Healthplex in New Albany IN and had been a former resident of
Scottsburg she was born April 14 1907 in Magnolia Indiana
to David P & Leona Belle Pleasant McCutcheon who preceded her in death. She was
also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Stanton Getz & her 2nd husband Al Kerstiens; 3 brothers & 2 sisters. Mrs. Kerstiens was a homemaker & member of
Scottsburg Church of Christ. She is survived by 2 nieces: Jean Graham of
Louisville KY & Leona Stajda of Redford MI and a nephew: Roger McCutcheon of
Milltown IN.

Anna Katherine Van Meter, 68, died at Medical Center of Southern Indiana in Charlestown IN August 7 2004. She was born April 18 1936 in Scott County IN to Thomas & Georgianna McKnight Van Meter who preceded her in death along with 3 sisters & 1 brother. She had been a former resident of Todd Dickey Nursing Home in Leavenworth IN and also had resided at Muscatatuck State Hospital. Anna is survived by her brother, John Van Meter of Charlestown IN and sisters, Mary Walden of Charlestown IN & Nancy Van Meter of Madison IN.

Larry Gene Amick, 68, died Thursday, August 5 2004 at his residence in
Scottsburg Indiana. Mr. Amick was born April 26 1936 in Scottsburg Indiana to
Hollis Edward & Margaret Virginia Everitt Amick. He was married to Helen Jean
Mitchell Amick. Mr. Amick was retired from Cummins Engine Co, a member of First
Baptist Church in Scottsburg, member of Scott County Moose Family Center #2324,
Westwood Golf Course & had served 10 years in the Indiana National Guard. He was
an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and loved playing golf. Survivors: wife,
Jean Amick of Scottsburg, son, David Wayne Amick of Scottsburg, daughters,
Vickie Sue Janicki of Napierville IL & Carolyn Joan Amick of Lombard IL;
sisters, Sue Ahlbrand & Carol Radcliffe both of Columbus IN; grandsons, Larry,
Gary, & Luke Amick of Scottsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, & a
brother, Alan Amick.

Marion Lee Garriott, 77, of Little York IN, died Friday July 30
2004 at Scott Villa Living Center in Scottsburg IN. He was born November 9 1926
in Washington County IN to Paul Garriott Sr & Jessie Rutherford Garriott,
deceased. He was married on August 2 1953 to Dorothy Jean Harshman Garriott. Mr.
Garriott was retired as an electrician in construction & formerly employed for
10 years at the Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown IN. A graduate of Little
York High School Class of 1945 he had served the U.S.Army, Korea 1950-1952, was
a member of Mt. Hebron Church of Christ, life member Mount-Wilson American
Legion #473, former Sunday School teacher, Financial Trustee of Mt. Hebron
Cemetery, Financial clerk of Elk Creek Conservancy District, National Rifle
Association, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 1393,
former 8 year member of Salem (IN) School Board, and enjoyed playing Euchre and
riding horses. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jean Harshman Garriott;
daughters Janice Beatty of Louisville KY, Barbara Proctor of Salem IN, & Donna
Jent of Little York IN; a brother Paul Garriott Jr of Elizabeth IN, sisters,
Fern Bryan, Ruth Payne & Alice Jean Polley all of Sarasota FL; and grandchildren
Jessie Roberts, Becky Roberts & Michael Roberts of Louisville KY; Adam
Richardson of Afghanistan; Justin Richardson of Salem IN & Tyler Jent of Little
York IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Colby Garriott.
