Faye Ruth Comer Galvin, 82, died Wednesday evening, May 26 2004 at Sellersburg Health & Rehab Centre in Sellersburg IN. She was born September 25 1921 in Scott County IN to Ezra & Lola M Moon Comer. Faye was married to Fred Truman Galvin. Her parents, husband & a brother, James Comer, preceded her in death. Faye was retired as a dental receptionist for Dr. B.D.Mann and had also been a cook for a local nursing home. She was a member of Zoah Christian Church. Survivors: Nephew & Caretakers, Gary & Belinda Austin of Scottsburg; brother Floyd Comer of Scottburg; sisters Inez Richey & B.Jewell Rutherford of Scottsburg; & Dorothy Mullinix of Merit Island FL.

Doris Mildred Smith Wells, 84, died at Jewish Hospital in Louisville KY on Sunday, May 2 2004. She was born September 30 1919 in Scott County IN to Carl & Bertha Roth Smith, deceased. She was married to Wm. Benson Wells, deceased. Doris retired as housekeeping manager at Scott Memorial Hospital, was a member of Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church, Kimberlin Creekers, Scott Memorial Hospital Guild, and Young at Heart Homemakers. Survivors: son, David (Janet) Wells; daughters, Donna Sue (Leroy) Hall, Judy (Glenn) Zollman, Billie (Wayne) Bright; brother, Elvin (Wilma) Smith all of Scottsburg along with 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren & 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, & 1 grandchild, Kim Lakins.

Walter G Ziemba, 85, died at Scott Memorial Hospital, Sunday, May 2 2004. He was born November 7 1918 in Cannonsburg PA to Feliks & Mary Supillxki Ziemba, deceased. He was formerly married to Ruth Ziemba who survives. Walter was a retired welder for Palmer-Ball in Louisville KY, a veteran of the U.S.Army W.W.II, a member of Evangelical Christian Church in Louisville KY and attended Vienna Baptist in Scottsburg. Survivors: son, James (wife Vicki) Ziemba of Scottsburg; step son, Doyle Currett of FL; step daughters, Deborah Adkins of Mt. Wasaington KY & Linda Cotton of Borden IN; 3 grandchildren & 3 great grand daughters. He was preceded in death by a brother & a step daughter.

Visitation: 4-8pm, EST, Tuesday May 4 2004 & Services: 11am EST Wednesday May 5 2004 at Stewart Funeral Home. Burial in Kraft Graceland Cemetery in New Albany IN.


Bradford "Brad" Hill Davisson, 86, died Saturday morning, May 1 2004 at Greenwood Village South Pavillion in Greenwood Indiana. He was born May 7 1917 in Bismarck North Dakota to Frank & Dessie Irene Hill Davisson, deceased. He was a graduate of Scottsburg High School, a veteran M/Sgt. of U.S. Army Air Corps during W.W.II., a former member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church of Scottsburg, a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Indianapolis, and was retired after 24 years as Purchasing Agent at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg IN. He is survived by his wife, Janice June Hunter Nash Davisson; daughter, Brenda Justice of Henryville; son, Michael E Davisson of Scottsburg; step-daughters: Cheri Wilson of Indianapolis & Lorie Davidson of Whiteland IN; step-son, Frank Nash of Littleton CO; brothers, Elmer Davisson of Danville IN & Theodore Davisson of Scottsburg; sister, Margaret Baker of Franklin IN; 6 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; & 1 great great grandchild.

Graveside Services, 11am, Wednesday, May 5 2004 at the Scottsburg Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Miller officiating along with Military graveside service by Sellersburg American Legion Post #204.
