Edward Lynn Densford
, 65, of Crothersville IN area, died Friday January 28 2005 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg IN. Ed was born August 6 1939 in Jackson County IN to Frank L & Bernice Bridgewater Densford. Ed retired from Cummins Engine Co where he was employed 30 years. He was a member of First Christian Church of Scottsburg. He is survived by his wife, Janie Ault Densford of Crothersville; son, Brian D & daughter-in-law Teri Densford of Scottsburg; grandchildren Katelyn & Andrew Densford; father, Frank L Densford of Crothersville; brother, Odes Densford of Crothersville; & step-brother, Garry (wife Judith) Ault of Bloomington IN.  Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Densford; his step-mother, Martha L Densford; and a son Kelly Densford.

Visitation: 2pm-7pm Sunday January 30 2005 and 9am-11am Monday at Stewart Funeral Home. Ethel A Brown, 96, passed away Friday, January 14 2005, in Santa Ana CA, after a short illness. Ethel was a school teacher in both Daviess & Scott counties in Indiana, where she taught high school and junior high school for 26 years. Born March 12 1908 in Alfordsville IN , she was Ethel Alford, daughter of Hazo & Orla Doyle Alford and the oldest of six children. She graduated from Indiana University in l932 with a BS degree in biology. She married Ernest Brown in l937 and they had two children Linda & Lynn. Her husband, Dr. Brown, was a dentist and city councilman in Scottsburg. Mrs. Brown was active in Scottsburg First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school, and was also active in the Business & Professional Women's Club, Order of the Eastern Star and Indiana State Teachers Retirement Association. Mrs. Brown moved to California in l979 after the loss of her son. She lived in Tustin CA very near her daughter and her family. There, she was active in the Forest Home Women's Auxiliary, Trinity United Presbyterian Church & Primetimers and volunteered in the Laubach Literacy Program, where she taught immigrant students to speak English. In retirement, she enjoyed many wonderful trips with family and friends throughout the US and the world. Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughter, Linda Cops; son-in-law, Greg Cps; grandsons, Kevin & Andrew; and her sister Pauline Canolty. Along with her son, she was also preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers & 1 sister.

Addie Mae Graham,
95, of Scottsburg died Friday January 7 2005 at her residence. She was born May 8 1909 in Scott County IN to the late John F & Estella Sutton Mercer. She was a homemaker and a member of Scottsburg OES #107, Rebeckah Lodge of Scottsburg & First Baptist Church of Scottsburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Linza Graham, a brother, two sisters & granddaughter Lauren Graham. Survivors: son, Eric Graham & wife Diane of Austin IN and a brother Alton Mercer of Madison IN. Funeral Services: will be private family services.

Irene Francis Timberlake
, 94, of Lexington IN died January 7 2005 at Providence Retirement Village in New Albany IN. She was born April 26 1910 in Blocher IN to Daniel Webster & Martha Hopper Gates who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers & 3 sisters. She was married to James S (Sam) Timberlake who survives. Also surviving is a sister, Wanda Colin of New Albany IN.  Mrs. Timberlake was a former Home Extension Agent and during World War II was a boat welder at Jeff Boat. She was a graduate of Purdue University; a member of Scaffold Lick Baptist Church, New Albany OES #64, Bethel Home Ec Club, Purdue Alumni, and Purdue Extension Homemaker.

Visitation: 2pm-6pm Sunday January 9 2005 and after 10am Monday at Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral

Mary W Young,
83, resident of North Vernon IN died Wednesday January 5 2005 at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison IN. Mary was born January 11 1921 in Jefferson County IN to Earl & Pluma Boyd Webster, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by 2 husbands: Ernest Wilkerson & William Young; a brother; 2 sisters; & a stepson. Mrs. Young was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Deputy High School; member of Open Door Baptist Church in Deputy IN and a former employee of Conn Organ in Madison IN. She is survived by: Daughters-Marilyn McIntosh of Austin IN & Frances Bowling of Crothersville IN; a son Donald L Wilkerson of Clarksville IN; stepdaughters- Verda Keen of Dupont IN, Helen Cummings and Juanita Combs of North Vernon IN; stepsons- James Young, Edward Young, Milford "Pete" Young, & Jimmie Young all of North Vernon IN along with 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren.


Visitation: noon-2pm Friday January 7 2005 at Stewart Funeral Home with Funeral Services at 2pm Friday
