Martin Luther Judge, 78, of Scottsburg, died at his residence Tuesday, March 29 2005. He was born January 27 1927 in Mt. Sterling KY to Calvin & Verneda Little Judge. Martin was married to Phyllis Thomas Judge. He was retired from Conrail. Survivors: wife, Phyllis; son, Gregory A Judge of Scottsburg; brothers: Billy Judge of Scottsburg & Lawrence Judge of Franklin OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a son Mark E Judge.

Mae Butler Buxton,
82, of Scottsburg IN died March 22 2005 at Bacala Nursing Center in Scottsburg
IN. She was born December 5 1922 in Newark New Jersey to William Henry Butler
III & Mildred Smith Butler. She was married to Loran Buxton. Shirley retired as
secretary from Scott Manufacturing, was a former owner of Buxton Motel &
Restaurant in Blocher IN and was a secretary/receptionist/volunteer for Scott
County Clearing House. Shirley held membership with First Presbyterian Church of
Scottsburg, Red Hat Society, and enjoyed Nifty 50 bowling league. Survivors:
daughter, Susan King (Mike) of Scottsburg IN; son, William L Buxton (Jana) of
Miami FL; brother, William H Butler IV of Cherry Hill NJ; grandson, William L
Buxton of Miami FL; 3 nephews & 1 niece. She was preceded in death by her
parents and husband.

Wilma C Smith, 82, a
resident of Scottsburg IN, died Friday, March 18 2005 at Schneck Medical Center
in Seymour IN. She was born October 24 1922 in Austin IN to Bessie Chandler.
Mrs. Smith graduated from Austin High School and beauty school, was a member of
First Christian Church in Scottsburg, was a former beautician, housewife, and at
one time employed during WWII at Army Ammunition Plant. With membership/clubs,
Scott County Hospital Guild, Girl Scout Leader, Seniors Bowling League. She
married Elvin Smith on October 4 1945. Survivors with her husband are a son,
Gregory Smith of Scottsburg IN; daughter, Lisa Rust (Matthew) of Seymour IN;
brothers, Robert Holzworth of Brownsburg IN & Charles Holzworth of Clarksville
IN; sisters, Mary Burton of Scottsburg IN & Lutricia Harding of Clarksville IN &
3 grandchildren, Rebecca Rust, Rachael Rust & Luke Rust all of Seymour IN. She
was preceded in death by her mother & 1 brother.

Earl Leroy Whitlatch,
81, died Wednesday, March 16 2005 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg IN.
He was born July 4 1923 in Lexington IN to Eldridge & Alice Gray Whitlatch and
was married to Ruby Mosley Asher Whitlatch. Earl was retired from U.S.Navy
serving during WWII, Korea & Vietnam 30 years as Chief Petty Officer and as a
helicopter & prop mechanic & later worked for US Manufacturer of helicopters &
air craft worldwide. He was a member of Lexington Presbyterian Church. He is
survived by his wife; Ruby Whitlatch of Lexington IN; step daughter; Sharon
Asher Janson (Jim) of Otisco IN; step sons; Wallace Asher (Brenda) of Little
York IN & Keith Asher (Cindy) of Redding CA and 1 step granddaughter; Corinna
Asher of Redding CA. He was preceded in death by his parents & 3 brothers.

Casey, 80, died March 14 2005 at Scott Villa Living Center in Scottsburg IN.
She was born February 19 1925 in Scott County IN to William Amos & Nannie B
Hosea Cochran. She married James E Casey,Jr. Mae Belle retired as an
administrative assistant in technical services with Scott County Public Library
and was a member of First Christian Church in Scottsburg. Survivors: daughters;
Paula Stafford & husband Tom of Seymour IN, Melissa Ann Cole & husband Kevin of
Lexington IN; grandchildren; Angie Newberry & husband Jay of Brownstown IN;
Mandy Peters & husband Jade of Brownstown IN; Caleb Cole of Lexington IN & a
great grandchild, Brady Newberry of Brownstown IN. She was preceded in death by
her parents, husband, 3 brothers, 3 sisters.
