Susie Geneva Blankenship, 76, of Austin IN, died October 27 2005 in Crothersville IN. She was born November 18 1928 in Jackson Kentucky to Jim Henry & Etta Morris Robinson who preceded her in death. Susie was formerly employed at Austin Dollar General Store, was a member of the Church of Christ in Austin & the Scott County Moose. She is survived by sons: James Blankenship (wife Evelyn) of Austin; John Blankenship (wife Hazel) of Lexington; daughter:  Reva Mae Baker (husband Earl) of Crothersville; brother: Paul Robinson of Scottsburg; 4 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 grandchild & 1 great grandchild.

Visitation: 4-8pm, EST, Saturday, October 29 2005 at Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 2pm Sunday October 30 2005 at the funeral home with Pastor Lonis Wooten & Pastor Judy Howard-Snell officiating and burial in New Providence

Martha Mae Robinson Howard
, 84, of Jeffersonville IN and formerly of Scott County, died October 21 2005 at her residence in Jeffersonville IN. She was born May 8 1921 in Wolverine Kentucky to Jim Henry & Etta Morris Robinson who are deceased. Martha was married to Silas Howard who also preceded her in death along with a son & 2 brothers. Martha retired in l998 after 24 years from Scott County Home Health Agency and was a former nurses aid at Scott Memorial Hospital. She held membership with Main Street Church of God now known as Grace Covenant Church of God in Austin and was a former member of Ida Rebekkah Lodge 333. Survivors: sons; Robert J Howard of Scottsburg IN & James R "Jamie" Howard of Jeffersonville IN; daughter; Lillie E Johnson (husband Virgil) of Austin IN; brother; Paul Robinson of Scottsburg IN; sister; Susie Blankenship of Austin IN; 9 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation: 4-8pm EST Saturday October 22 2005 at Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 2pm EST Sunday October 23 2005 at Grace Covenant Church of God in Austin with Pastor Judy Howard-Snell & Pastor Alex McIntosh officiating with burial in New Providence Cemetery.

Lewis Howard Lord, Jr
., 66, of Scottsburg, died Wednesday, October 19 2005 at his residence. He was born June 29 1939 in Seattle Washington to Lewis Howard, Sr., & Marion Davies Lord, who are deceased. His first marriage was to Mary Darlene Wolfe Lord who preceded him in death along with a son Kevin Lord. Lewis was retired from Aisin in Seymour as an inspector, was a former bookkeeper at National Tire Mart, a deliveryman for Spaulding Linen, National Linen, & G&K Linen. He was a member of First Christian Church of Scottsburg where he served as an elder. He is survived by his wife, Diane Redman Lord; sons, Marvin Lord of Boiling Springs SC & Dennis Lord of Greenville SC; and his sister, Doris Allen of Fair Play MO.

Visitation: 4-8pm EST Friday October 21 2005 at Stewart Funeral Home and after 9am Saturday at First Christian Church. Funeral Services: 11am EST Saturday October 22 2005 at the church with Tom Mobley, John Lowry & Paul Wise officiating. Burial will be in Scottsburg Cemetery with Scott Rosen officiating. Maggie Sue Fitzgerald, 81 & Paul V Fitzgerald 71, both of Fulton KY, died of injuries received in a traffic accident near their home on Tuesday, September 20 2005. The couple had lived in Boston MA but had resided in Fulton KY since l990. Sue was born in Martin TN and was a graduate of Western Kentucky State Teachers College. Her husband had been a native of Suffolk County PA. Sue was a clerical secretary in the church office and a member of the Christian Science Church. Paul's career had been in maintenance. Their survivors include her son, Allen Bates; and her three sisters, Elizabeth Starkweather of California, Mary Ethel Beery of Denver CO, & Frances (Thomas) Everitt of Scottsburg.

Graveside services for the couple will be 11:30am, EST, Saturday October 8 at the Everitt Cemetery in Scott County with Pastors Dale Hickey & Ken Jones officiating. No Visitation will be held. Grace May Mace Thompson
, 100, of Scottsburg IN, died Thursday, September 29 2005 at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown IN. She was born January 11 2005 in Henryville IN to Jesse D & Jessie Palmer Alpha. Grace had been employed at the old Army Ammunition Plant and was retired from Scottsburg schools as a cook from l950's - 1970's at Scottsburg Middle School & Scottsburg High School. She held membership with First Christian Church of Scottsburg. Survivors: sister, Edith Anna Campbell of Scottsburg; daughters-in-law, Maggie Rigsby of Brownstown & Glenna Rigsby of Seymour; 6 grandchildren, Deborah McCullough, Richard (Sue) Rigsby, Daniel (Rita) Rigsby, Regan (Teresa) Rigsby, Pam (Bill)Patterson, Vera (Bruce) Rogers; 13 great grandchildren & 16 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Raymond Rigsby & Robert Rigsby.
