Charles Harold Nichols,
100, died Thursday, August 24 2006 at North Hardin Health & Rehab in Radcliff
KY. Harold was a resident of Scott County IN most of his life. He was born
March 4 1906 in Jefferson County IN to Charles A Nichols & Maude Jewel Robbins
Nichols. He was married to Emma R Wood Nichols who preceded him in death May 28
1987. Mr. Nichols was a retired farmer, a member of Austin Christian Church and
a 50 year Mason with the Elizabethtown IN F&AM Lodge. Survivors: son, Robert &
wife Maryln Nichols of Columbus IN; daughter, Beverly & husband Tom Hanlon of
Radcliff KY; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren
& 1 great great great grandchild. Along with his parents & wife, he was preceded
in death by a son, Ronald, 2 brothers & 2 sisters. Visitation: 11am-2pm,
Sunday, August 27 2006 at Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 2pm, Sunday,
at the funeral home with Rev. Don Allen officiating & burial in Scaffold Lick
Cemetery.

Ruth Scifres Clever,
101, died Tuesday, August 22 2006. She was born September 11 1904 in Salem
Indiana to Zach M & Pink Adams Scifres. Ruth was a graduate of Little York High
School and Hanover College. In l931 she married Clifford Clever and they
resided on a small farm in Hendricks County before retiring to Zionsville. Mr.
Clever died January 20 1992. Ruth moved to Indianapolis after college to work
for Indianapolis Life Insurance Company as a bookkeeper. During World War II
she joined the war effort by working at Allison's. After the war she retired
and devoted herself to her home, church and family. She was a member of
Crestview Christian Church for many years. Ruth is survived by several nieces.
