Edward Baker, 76, of Scottsburg, died Sunday, July 9 2006 at Scott Villa Living Center in Scottsburg. He was born May 23 1930 in Mount Sterling KY to Perry & Lida Mae Beriman Baker. Mr. Baker was a member of the Baptist church and retired in 1993 from I.P.C. in Charlestown IN. He was married to Daisy L Barnett Marr Baker who survives. Other survivors: son, Danny Ray Baker (wife Vivian) of Scottsburg; daughters, Kim Lesnet (husband Tony) & Robin Matthews (husband Gary) both of Scottsburg; brother, Jessie Baker (wife Ann) of Salem; sisters, Carrie West (husband Lynn) & Betty Rudder (husband Jim) both of Scottsburg and Lottie Howell of Jeffersonville along with 8 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, a daughter & a brother.  Visitation: 5-7 PM Tuesday July 11 2006 at Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Erich Lauterbach officiating and burial in Scottsburg Cemetery. Roy Stidham
, 73, of Austin IN, died at his residence, Thursday, July 6 2006. He was born March 11 1933 in Perry County KY to Sam & Chloe Campbell Stidham who are deceased. Roy was married to Rebecca Hancock Stidham. He was retired from ICI in Charlestown IN, a member of Church of Christ in Austin; and a member of seniors bowling league at Scottsburg Bowling Lanes. Survivors: wife, Rebecca Stidham of Austin; step son, Clinton Hancock of Evansville IN; brothers, Eugene Stidham of Frankfort KY, Ray Stidham of Austin, Darryl Stidham & Arlie Stidham both of Hazard KY; sisters, Thelma Baker of Austin & Dianna Stidham of Columbus IN. Visitation: 4-8pm Saturday July 8 2006 & after 11am Sunday at Stewart Funeral Home. Services: 2pm Sunday July 9 2006 at the funeral home with Rev Jack Oliver officiating and burial in Spurgeon Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Relay for Life of Scott County.

Janet L McDaniel
, 70, of Scottsburg, died on Sunday, July 2 2006 at home with her family at her side. She was born January 6 1936 in Brownstown Indiana to Earl Voyles and Alta Crockett Voyles Jackson. She was married to Kenneth "Red" McDaniel. Janet was a member of Scottsburg United Methodist Church. She had been formerly employed at Arvin Industries of Columbus IN, former employed at Scott County State Bank, formerly employed at Gladstein Dept. Store in Scottsburg and was also a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband and mother. Survivors: daughters; Vicki Ziemba (Jim), Leslie McDaniel, Sue Lowry ( Eric), Anna Huff ( Wayne), & Amy McDaniel (Charlie Mullins) all of Scottsburg. Brothers: Donn Voyles of Columbus IN, Les "Sonny" Voyles of Ft. Wayne IN, Bill Voyles of Scottsburg. Sister: Patty Rohm of Madison IN.
