Dollie Madden Goodman, 86, died Tuesday, October 24 2006 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville KY. Mrs. Goodman had resided in Louisville since l965 and was formerly of the Lexington/Scottsburg IN area. She was born April 8 l920 in Disney KY to Joseph & Margaret Hensley Madden who preceded her in death along with her husband, Dent Goodman and one son, five brothers, & five sisters. Mrs. Goodman was a member of the Baptist church and a homemaker. Survivors: two sons: Joe Goodman & Larry Goodman both of Louisville and a grandchild. Visitation: 10am-11am, Thursday, October 26 2006 at Stewart Funeral Home, Inc., 80 N 1st St., Scottsburg in 47170. Funeral Services: 11am, Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Jackson officiating and burial in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington IN.

H Colwell Shirley, 85, of Scottsburg IN died Saturday, September 30 2006.
She was born October 16 1920 in Sellersburg IN to Jesse & Margaret Murphy Comer
who preceded her in death. Her first marriage was to Bruce Colwell who also
preceded her in death. Her second marriage was to Harold Shirley, who survives.
Pearl was employed as a secretary of Colwell Tax Service. She was a member of
Scottsburg United Methodist Church, a 50 year member of Alpha Pi Chapter of Psi
Iota Xi Sorority, Scott County Historical Society and served as a volunteer at
Scott Memorial Hospital. Other survivors: son, Robert Wayne Colwell of Madison
WI; daughter, Nancy Beth Booth (husband Jim) of Madison WI; stepdaughter, Nancy
Hawkins (husband Hubert) of Scottsburg, 2 grandchildren, Adam Booth & Elizabeth
Booth; 2 step grandchildren, Leigh Ann Akers (husband Jim) & Karen West (husband
Mark), 4 step great grandchildren, Caitlin Akers, Sidney Akers, Bailey West,
Taylor West. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Comer.
Funeral Services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, October 3 2006 at Scottsburg
United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Wallace officiating. Visitation
4-8 PM, Monday, October 2 2006 at Stewart Funeral Home and after noon Tuesday at
her church. Burial will be in Scottsburg Cemetery. Memorial services
conducted by Alpha Pi Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Sorority will be 7 PM, Monday at
the funeral home. Memorial Contributions to Scottsburg United Methodist Church
