Fred Lewis Lakins, 66, died Monday, February 26 2007 at his residence in Scottsburg. He was born August 1 1940 in Austin IN to Morris Lewis Lakins & Lillian Ruth Arnold Lakins, who are deceased. Mr. Lakins was a retired electrician. Survivors: his companion, Anne Leland, Hanover IN; sons, Freddie Ray Lakins, Indianapolis, David Lakins, Seymour, Danny Lakins, Alabama, Kenneth Lakins, Scipio; daughters, Lisa Lakins, Seymour, Rhonda Bozart, Seymour, Ladonna Knight, Indianapolis, Cassie Lakins, DeLand FL, Jessica Douglas, DeLeon Springs FL; brothers, Robert (Elanda) Lakins, Austin, Gary (Margaret) Lakins, Madison; sisters, Linda (John) Price, Austin, Brenda Talley, Scottsburg; and many grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Berl Lakins, Stanley Jennings, & Dexter Lakins.
There will be no visitation or funeral services. Stewart Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements.

Frances Marie Hough,
90, of Scottsburg IN died Wednesday February 14 2007 in Hanover IN. She was born January 16 1917 in New Albany IN to Charles S & Eva W Maymon Krieger. She was married to Judge Eugene Hough. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers Joseph E Krieger & Charles William Krieger & 2 sisters Velsie Fae Hatton & Gladys Blankenbaker. Frances was formerly employed at Clarice West Gift Shop and a homemaker. She held memberships with Scottsburg First Presbyterian Church and Psi Iota Xi sorority. Survivors: son, Robert Eugene & wife Sheila Hough of Madison; sisters, Elsie Mae Sutton of Scottsburg & Elva D Cook of Louisville, 4 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. Visitation: 10am - 1pm Saturday, February 17 2007 at Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 1pm Saturday with Rev Ann Haw officiating and burial in Scottsburg Cemetery. Elizabeth Richey, 85 of Scottsburg In died Monday, February 12 2007 in Louisville KY. She was born February 7 1922 in Scottsburg IN to Earl & Ethel Richey Gardner who are deceased. She was married to Robert N Richey who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Richey was a retired bookkeeper for James Arbuckle Enterprises, a retired kindergarten teacher in Henryville & Scottsburg and co-owner of Richey Auctions. She held memberships with Scottsburg First Presbyterian Church and VFW Auxiliary of Scott County. Survivors: son, Bryan Richey & wife Jenny of Scottsburg; daughters, Linda Harrison of Bardstown KY and Mary Kitzes and husband Dr. David Kitzes of Providence RI; 8 grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. W. Earl Bridges, 78, of rural Scottsburg, Leota Indiana area, died Saturday, February 10 2007 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born October 21 1928 in Louisville KY to William & Thelma Beers Bridges who preceded him death along with 3 brothers & 1 sister. He was married to Dorothy Richey Bridges who survives along with a brother Bill & wife Helen Bridges of Henryville IN and many nieces & nephews. Earl was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Henryville Masonic Lodge #651 F&AM, Henryville OES #585, and of Ironworkers Local #70. He was a retired farmer, former co-owner of Imperial Marble in Scottsburg a former ironworker, and a veteran of the U.S. Army during W.W.II.
