Edith
Jane Dean, 95, of Columbus, died
Thursday, June 14 2007 at Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus IN. Edith was
born May 4 1912 in Pekin IN to Addison Lafayette and Emma Kate Newman Geffs who
are deceased. She was married November 28 1936 in New Albany IN to Emmett Dean
who preceded her in death May 11 1977. Edith had previously lived in the
Scottsburg area, was a homemaker and was formerly employed at the old White
Cottage Restaurant in Scottsburg. She was a member of the Church of Christ at
Pekin IN. Survivors: sons, Victor A Dean (Jane) of Austin, Marvin R Dean
(Barbara) of Columbus; daughters, Olive Clampitt (James) of Jonesville, Emma D
Leeder of Columbus; 25 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren & 8 great great
grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers Everitt Geffs, Ira
Geffs, Elmer Geffs, a sister Jennie Charles, and a great granddaughter Jessica
Miller. There is no visitation. Funeral Services: Graveside Services,
1pm, Monday, June 18 2007 at Scottsburg Cemetery where she will be buried.

Thomas Martin Krieger, 50, of Scottsburg, died at his residence on Saturday, June 9 2007. He was born March 19 1957 in New Albany IN to George & Ann Mulhousen Krieger Harbin. He was married to Patricia Arnold Krieger. Thomas was employed as a machinist & welder at S-Tech in Crothersville IN. Survivors: wife, Patricia; daughters, Nickiea Krieger & Tera Krieger both at home; son, Edward Mundt of Austin; mother, Ann Harbin of New Albany; brothers, Bill Krieger (Lori), Jerff Krieger (Wilma) & sister Belita Sorg (Timmy) all of New Albany. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Ethan Mundt, Noah Mundt, James Stone, Jerimiah Stone, AnnaBell Rose Michelson, Chance Michael Lucas. Thomas was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Keith Krieger. Graveside Services: 7pm, Tuesday, June 12 2007 at New Providence Cemetery. Martha
A Bridgewater, 70, of Scottsburg
IN, died at her residence on Thursday, June 7 2007. Martha was born June 21 1936
in Scott County IN to Waldo & Ethel Funk McClain who preceded her in death along
with a sister, Permelia Schagene. Martha married Raymond Bridgewater on June 6
1955 in Scottsburg IN. She attended the Methodist Church and was a retired
supervisor at the Census Bureau in Jeffersonville IN as well as an avid book
reader. Survivors along with her husband, Raymond are a daughter, Rhonda
Sterrett of Scottsburg; a brother, Charles McClain (Dena) of Tampa FL; sisters,
Sara Winder & Alice Curr both of Kentucky; 3 grandchildren, Jenny Hardin, Aaron
Richey (Heather), Emily Sterrett all of Scottsburg and 2 great grandchildren,
Shelby Hardin & Daesha March. Visitation: 11:30am-1:30pm, Monday, June
11 2007 at Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 1:30pm, Monday at the funeral
home with Pastor Dan Jackson officiating and burial in Scottsburg Cemetery.
