George W Hill,
96, of Scottsburg IN died Monday, May 28 2007 at Scott Villa Living Center in
Scottsburg. He was born November 13 1910 in Berea KY to Thomas E & Dovey King
Hill, both deceased. He married Mildred Woods Hill on November 13 1959 in
Edinburgh IN. George was employed for 50 years at Morgan Foods as a supervisor,
was a former contractor, and formerly served a lunch stand during
seasonal vegetable pack at Morgan Foods. He was a member of First Baptist Church
in Scottsburg, was a 50 year member of Scottsburg F&AM Lodge #572, was a member
of Farm Bureau, and McDonald's Coffee Club. Survivors: wife, Mildred Hill
of Scottsburg; sons, George E Hill & wife Mary Ann of Scottsburg & James Marvin
Hill of Portage IN; stepson, Robert Morris & wife Peggy of Dallas TX; daughter,
Sharron Sue O'Neal of Milford OH; 15 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, a daughter Charlotte Ann Fox & a
grandchild, brothers, James Lusk Hill, Robert E Hill, Daniel D Hill and sisters,
Mae Seaver, Ellen Kreeger, & Lucy Kelley.
Visitation: 4-8pm, Wednesday, May 30 1007 & after

Roy Wayne Simms, 57, of Lexington
IN, died May 21 2007 at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville KY. He was born
September 21 1949 in Addyson OH to Roy & Susie Baker Simms, both who are
deceased. He was a graduate of Austin High School, served with the U.S. Army
Reserve, retired from the old American Can, was a member of House of Prayer in
Austin, the American Legion, Scott County Sheriff's Reserve, and ABATE Region 9.
He is survived by a son, Jason & wife Mary Simms of Austin, his companion, Ann
Hall of Lexington; brother Roger & wife Kathy Simms of Austin; sister, Patsy &
husband David Vastine of Aurora; step-sons, Charlie & wife Paula Kern of
Scottsburg, John & wife Christy Nicholson of Hawthorne FL, William Nicholson of
Butlerville, 5 grandchildren, and 5 step grandchildren. Memorial Donations to

Evans E Banbury, 93, of Scottsburg IN died Tuesday, May 15 2007 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born October 28 1913 in Pratt Kansas to J.C. & Emma Francis Banbury, both deceased. Evans moved to Scottsburg in 2002 after having resided in Colby Kansas and moving to Oklahoma City in l993. He was married to Virginia Schisler Banbury who survives. Evans was a graduate of Kansas State University and retired as the Director of Agriculture Experimental Station in Colby Kansas which is a part of Kansas State University. He received the county agents' Distinguished Service Award and numerous state and county awards for outstanding contributions in soil & water conservation over his 35 years of dedication & leadership in agricultural education and research in Kansas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII serving in the south Pacific. Memberships included Scottsburg United Methodist Church, Goodland Rotary, Goodland Chamber of Commerce, Colby Rotary, a Rotary Fellow, & the American Legion in Colby KS. Survivors along with his wife Virginia; daughter, Melanie Foster (Erle) of Scottsburg; granddaughter, Shannon Howser (Patrick) of Scottsburg; great grandsons, Evan Howser & Ryan Howser of Scottsburg. Also preceded in death by 4 brothers, 2 sisters, & a great granddaughter, Camryn Howser. Visitation: 9am-11am, Friday, May 18 2007 at Scottsburg United Methodist Church in Scottsburg. Lawrence E Nevils, 71, of Austin
IN, died Monday, May 7 2007 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg IN. He was
born March 23 1936 in Taswell Tennessee to Clifford A & Ethel J Richardson
Nevils, both who preceded him in death. Lawrence was a veteran in the U.S.Army
serving during the Korean conflict, was retired as a union laborer with road
construction, very much enjoyed the outdoors with hunting & fishing, and was a
member of New Providence Baptist Church and the American Legion. He is survived
by his wife, Cillar Ingalls of Austin; son, Larry Nevils of Scottsburg; daughter
Maxine Nevils of Austin; Stepsons, Eddie Ingalls (Anna Marie) of Scottsburg,
Robert Ingalls of Austin, Phil Ingalls (Kimberly) of Austin, David Ingalls
(Sharon) of Scottsburg; Stepdaughters, Laura Hall (Clark) of Scottsburg, Selena
Beatty (Charlie) of Marion IL, Shirley Tobias (Bob) of Scottsburg, Faith Yonts
(Duane) of Austin; 15 step grandchildren & 13 step great grandchildren; brother,
Johnny Nevils (Susie) of Scottsburg; sister, Betty J Holder (Ray) of Columbus;
