Allen,
74, of Scottsburg IN, died Saturday, August 16 2008 at his residence. He was
born October 25 1933 in Hazard KY to Henry & Polly Thomas Allen who preceded him
in death. Mr. Allen was married to Mary Gambill Allen who survives. He was
retired from Morgan Foods and was a contractor and a member of the Church of the
Lord Jesus Christ in Crothersville IN. Also surviving is a son, Tommy Allen of
Scottsburg; daughters, Debra Neace of Cortland IN & Pamela Cox of Scottsburg IN;
brothers, Everitt Allen of Scottsburg IN and Lloyd Allen of Paris TN; sister,
Joanne Cruthfil of Jackson TN; stepson, James Kenneth Couch & wife Mary of
Austin; step daughter, Pamela Sue Couch of Seymour IN; 7 grandchildren, 4 step
grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation: 4pm-8pm, Tuesday, August 19 2008 & 10am-1pm, Wednesday at Stewart
Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 1pm, Wednesday, August 20 2008 at the funeral
home with Pastor Sam White officiating and entombment at New
Providence Cemetery

Miller,
87, of Lexington IN, died Thursday, August 14 2008 at King's Daughters Hospital
in Madison IN. He was born May 13 1921 in Lexington IN to Robert D & Bessie
Alice Henry Miller who preceded him in death. He was married to Alma Halcomb
Miller, who survives. Mr. Miller was retired as an engineer at Jefferson Proving
Ground in Madison, was a member of the American Legion, and a veteran of the
U.S. Navy during WWII. Also surviving is a son, James Miller & wife Karla of
Scottsburg and a grandchild. He was also preceded in death by several brothers &
sisters. Graveside service: Monday, 2
PM, August 18 2008 at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison IN.
