Thomas Hamblin, 73, of Crothersville IN, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, May 21 2008. Thomas was born July 25 1934 in Oneida KY to Isom and Christine Burns Hamblin who preceded him in death. Thomas married Phyillis Jean Amos on October 17 1954 by Rev. Moseley at Rev. Moseley's home in Uniontown IN. He was employed for 36 years at American Can in Austin IN and was also, for 10 years, a former volunteer fireman for Crothersville. IN. Survivors: his wife of 53 years, Phyllis of Crothersville; son, Wade Thomas Hamblin of Brownstown; daughters Sonja Persinger (Rick) of Medora, Pam England (Roger) of Brownstown, Treva Hamblin of Brownstown & Shannon Hamblin of Brownstown. Also 6 grandchildren; Vicki McCory (Michael), Casey Persinger (Heather), Brandon England, Kyle England (Danielle), Teddie Teipen & Hannah Fish and 8 great grandchildren. There will be no visitation or services. The burial will be a private family service. Stewart Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements.
Phyllis Ann Judge, 81, of Scottsburg, died Friday, May 2 2008 at Scott Villa Living & Rehab Center in Scottsburg. She was born February 17 1927 in Henryville IN to Earl & Jessie Sohn Thomas who preceded her in death. Phyllis was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband Martin Judge & a son Mark E Judge. She is survived by: son, Gregory A Judge of Scottsburg; and sisters, Carol Andrews of Scottsburg & Sharon Jo Barker of New Albany IN. There will be no visitation or funeral services.
