Rev. Kenneth Molter, 67, of Rutherfordton NC, died Tuesday, September 23 2008 in North Carolina. He was a minister of the Methodist Church for the past 20 years. Survivors: his wife, Jane Watterson Molter; six children; & seven grandchildren. The Memorial Services is 11 am, Saturday, September 27 2008 at First Christian Church in Scottsburg IN with Larry J DeWitt officiating and a private family burial at a later date. Jonathan
Wayne Dixon, 11,
of Austin IN, died Tuesday, September 16 2008 at Kosair Children's Hospital in
Louisville KY. He was born December 3 1996 in Greenville NC to Joseph & Rhonda
Porter Dixon of Austin IN. Jonathan was a 6th grade student at Austin Middle
School. He was a member of Underwood Baptist Church, Boy Scouts Pack 65 in
Austin, Discovery Club, Winners on Wheels, Spina Bifida Association,
participated in Win-O-lympics and danced with Starlight Dance Studio. Survivors
with his parents are his sister, Rachael Dixon of Austin; maternal grandparents
Glen & Mary Hedquist of Scottsburg; paternal grandparents Eleanor & Pete Dixon
of Wallace NC; maternal grandparents Charles & Cindy Porter of Henryville;
maternal great grandparents Charles & Pat Porter of Macon GA; maternal great
grandmother Martha Dent of Baltimore MD; maternal great great grandparents Ervin
& Sally Caldwell of Scottsburg along with aunts, uncles & cousins.
Visitation: after 3pm Friday September 19 2008 & after 11am Saturday September
20 at Underwood Baptist Church. Funeral Services: 1pm, Saturday at the church
with Rev. Lee Gibson officiating and burial in Mountain Grove Cemetery
near Henryville IN. Memorial Donations to: Jonathan Dixon Fund at the Underwood

Walter Leo Hill, Jr.,
53, of Scottsburg, died September 14 2008 at Clark Memorial Hospital in
Jeffersonville IN. He was born February 26 1955 in Terre Haute IN to Walter Leo
Hill, Sr. & Joan Louise Wiley Hill. Mr. Hill was a retired registered nurse and
was formerly employed at Genesis Plastics in Scottsburg. He was a member of AA.
Survivors: mother, Joan Hill of Terre Haute; daughter, Kristi Combs of Terre
Haute IN; son, Joshua Hill of Plano TX, brother Dennis Hill of Terre Haute; and
a sister, Sharon Hill. Grandchildren: Atreju Hill, Bastian Hill, Madeline Hill,
Kaden Hill, Devine Combs, Jackson Combs.
There will be no Visitation or Funeral Services.

Gross,
84, of
Scottsburg and the Leota IN area, died Monday, September 1 2008 at Scott
Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg. She was born May 13 1924 in Scottsburg to John
L & Bertha Tash Shirley who preceded her in death. She was married to LeeRoy
Gross and he also preceded her in death. Jean was a retired owner of
The Old Morgan Trail Antiques and a
member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Shirley & a sister, Jewell
Rutherford. Survivors: son, Randy Gross & wife Sheila of Scottsburg; daughter,
Sue Guernsey & husband Chris of Scottsburg; and a grandson Zach Guernsey & wife
Tiffany of Scottsburg. Visitation: 4pm-8pm, Wednesday, September 3 2008 & after 9am Thursday at
Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 11am, Thursday, September 4 2008 at the
funeral home with Phil LaMaster officiating and burial in Bethel
