Wanda Sue Simpson, 60, of Lexington IN, died Wednesday, October 28 2009 at her residence. She was born April 24 1949 in Knox County KY to John Gambrel & Betty Smith Gambrel. She was married July 29 1992 to David A Simpson. Wanda was a nurses aid at Providence Retirement Home in New Albany IN. She was a member of Abate of Indiana. Survivors: husband David A Simpson, son Mark Brown & wife Brenda, 2 grandchildren Anthony Brown & Amanda Brown, brother Otis Gambrel. She was preceded in death by her parents, & a daughter Carolyn Brown. Visitation: 10am-11am, Saturday, October 31 2009 at Stewart Funeral Home. Scottsburg, died Tuesday, October 27 2009 at Floyd Memorial Hospital & Health
Services in New Albany IN. He was born June 11 1920 in Sumter SC to Joseph E
Jackson & Mary Griffin Jackson. He was married to Mabel Owens Jackson. Joseph
was a retired salesman for Filter Queen and a retired deacon of Kimberlin Creek
Baptist Church. He was a member of Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church and also a
veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Army. Survivors: wife, Mabel Jackson of
Scottsburg; son Byron Jackson & wife Melissa of Georgetown IN; daughter Ley
Gorrell of Dunlap CA; 8 grandchildren; brothers James E Jackson of Summerville
SC, Franklin A Jackson of Colorado Springs CO, Raymond W Jackson of Sumter SC;
Earl V Jackson of Hendersonville SC. He was preceded in death by his parents,
son Leonard Jackson, daughters Carol Amick & Ruth Wise, sister Shirley Waehleke,
and brothers Elvin B Jackson, Dreyfus O Jackson & Marvin L Jackson.

Comer, Gerald Grant, 96, died Wednesday, October 21 2009 at Hampton Oaks Living Center in Scottsburg IN. He was born October 9 1913 to the late Albert and Lola Shields Comer. He was a retired farmer, a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Leota, and an original member of the Scott County Fair Board. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Glen Comer, and sisters Gladys Berna, Betty Floyd, and Mary Joyce Woodruff. Survivors include his wife of 70 years Audra Robbins Comer, son Billy Comer (Mary Beth), daughter Jo Anna Comer Scott (Jerry), grandson Brent Comer (Pamela), and granddaughter Beth Comer Fleenor (Ryan), and great grandchildren Grant and Kenley Comer, and Audra Ellen, Wm. Chase, and Marley Fleenor. Survivors also include brother Robert Comer and sisters Emma Ellis, Goldie Robbins, Ruth Johnson and Bernice Robbins. 70, died Monday, October 19 2009 at her residence in Scottsburg. She was born
September 1 1939 in Scottsburg to Stacy F Coleman & Daisy Osborne Coleman. She
was married April 27 1975 to Richard J Serles. Mary Lou was a graduate of
Scottsburg High School, was retired from Cummins Engine in Columbus, was a
member of First Christian Church of Scottsburg, Women of the Moose Scott County
Chapter 1947, Plymouth Homemakers Club, Ladies Auxiliary VFW, American Legion
Auxiliary, & Scott County Historical Society. Survivors: daughter Carolyn Shook
of Indianapolis; sister Annabelle McNeely of Scottsburg, nephews Larry McNeely &
John McNeely both of Scottsburg; caregivers Bob & Melissa Hill of Scottsburg;
grandchildren & great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents,
husband, daughter Stacey Lee Jones & brother Ronald E Coleman.

83, of Lexington IN, died Sunday October 18 2009 at Scott Memorial Hospital in
Scottsburg. She was born May 5 1926 in Indianapolis IN to Sheryl Kanoodle &
Mayme Baldwin Kanoodle. She was the widow of Floyd Robbins. Helen was a former
cafeteria worker at Lexington Schools and was retired after 35 years in the mail
room at the Old Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown IN. Survivors: her
caretakers Sandra L Hash & Donna J Conover both of Lexington; Helen was preceded
in death by her parents, her husband, brothers Ray Barnes & Fay Barnes & sister

in Scottsburg. He was born September 12 1935 In Jackson KY to James & Etta Mae
Morris Robinson. Paul graduated from Southern Illinois University with a
Bachelors & a Masters in Business Administration. He was a retired Chief Petty
Officer of the US Navy, a dental tech, and a retired professor at University of
Southern Indiana in Evansville. He held membership with Austin Christian Church.
He married Marlene Sue Bryant on April 21 1956. Survivors: wife Marlene Robinson
of Scottsburg; Daughter Tammy Feist of Foley AL; sons Paul E Robinson Jr. & wife
Gail of Crown Point IN & Jason C Robinson & wife Deborah of Windermere FL; 6
grandchildren Joshua Ecret, Sara Feist, Leah Feist, Jacob Feist, Cory Robinson &
