George L Snell, 78, of Lexington IN, died Thursday, April 29 2010 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg IN. He was born December 31 1931 in Madison IN to Floyd & Mary Belle Massey Snell. George was a former merchant Marine, a heavy equipment operator for the State of Indiana, a member of Madison American Legion & Madison Eagles. Survivors: sons Roy Snell (Patsy) of Nabb IN, Daniel William Snell (Carrie) of Scottsburg IN, Mark D Wayne Snell of Nabb IN; daughter Lisa Combs (Larry) of Scottsburg IN; brothers John Snell of Milton KY & Bill Snell of Hanover IN; 8 grandchildren: Christina Wimsatt, Kyle Andrew Combs, Christopher Snell, Shawn Snell, Elizabeth Snell, Nicholas Biggs, Philip Andrew Edes, Mark Jayden Snell. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Gina Sprung, a brother Floyd Snell & a sister Rosie Saurge.  Services will be private for the family.

Paul F Eaheart, 84, died Wednesday, April 28 2010 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour IN. He was born June 18 1925 in Orange VA to  Benjamin Franklin Eaheart & Goldie Breeden Eaheart. His second marriage was to Lorena Petri Eaheart. Paul was retired as manager of Coleman Gas Co in Louisville KY. He was a member of the Lexington Christian Church in Lexington IN; Clark #40 F&AM; and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Survivors: wife, Lorena "Deanie" Eaheart of Austin; stepsons Steve Richey (Debra) of Aurora IL & Jeff Richey (Carol) of Norfolk VA; sisters Hazel Hignett, Anna Schriber, Nancy Hayes, Betty Porter; stepgrandchildren Amanda Richey, Kevin Richey, Jason Richey, Travis Richey; He was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife Hilda, stepgranddaughter Melanie Richey, & brother Robert Eaheart. James V "Penny" Mayfield, 91, of Scottsburg IN, died Tuesday, April 27 2010 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg IN. He was born July 26 1918 in French Lick IN to Roscoe & Lillie Sanders Mayfield and was married to Polly Mayfield. Penny was a retired driver for Greyhound Bus Lines, a retired driver for Toby Tours & had also been a mechanic at the Indianapolis 500. He was a member of First Christian Church of Scottsburg formerly serving as Elder & Deacon & a member of China Marines Association. He served as a Marine during W.W.II. Survivors: wife, Polly Mayfield; daughter, Joyce Cerovac of Bella Vista AR; sons, Glen Mayfield (Diann) of Avon IN & Sandy Mayfield (Sheila) of Agoura Hills CA; 6 grandchildren: Scott (Julie) Cerovac, Elizabeth Kardynalski, Jennifer Combs (Christopher), Douglas Mayfield (Shanna), Kristin Mayfield, Andrea Copeland (Don); 14 great grandchildren:Kayla Kardynalski, TJ Kardynalski, Aaron Kardynalski, Tyler Kardynalski, Logan Farmer, Caroline Combs, Braden Mayfield, Colton Mayfield, Preston Mayfield, Kadence Copeland, Allegra Copeland, Cameron Cerovac, Christian Cerovac, & Caden Cerovac. Margaret A Williams, 84 of Scottsburg IN, died, Monday, April 26 2010 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg IN. She was born March 12 1926 in Austin IN to James & Laura Densford Ferguson. She was married to Frank B Williams Jr. Margaret was a graduate of Scottsburg High School & Kentucky Baptist School of Nursing. She retired as a registered nurse having worked for 21 years at Scott Memorial Hospital serving as Director of Nursing & Assistant Administrator. She had attended IU Southeast & IU-PU of Indianapolis. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Scottsburg; was a former member of Phi Beta Psi Sorority; a member of KY Baptist Hospital of Nursing Alumni; ANA; ISNA & District 13 Nurses Assn; & Gold Star Wives of America. She was a former chairperson of the Scott County Cancer Drive & assisted with the American Red Cross Blood Banks. She worked with the fire department & civil defense officials in planning medical care in case of a disaster. She assisted the Pilot Club in installing the Life Line phone system. In 1984 Margaret was named Business & Professional Woman of the Year & in l989 was named Scottsburg High School Outstanding Alumnus. Survivors: daughter, Rosanne Williams of Louisville KY; a sister, Alice Knoebel Zink of Madison; 2 nieces & 1 nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; & 3 sons. Visitation: 4pm-8pm, Wednesday, April 28 2010 at the funeral home & 9am-11am, Thursday at First Baptist Church of Scottsburg. Funeral Services: 11am Thursday at the church with Pastor Bob Flynn officiating & burial in Scottsburg Cemetery.
