Jim was a graduate of Scottsburg High School, attended college 2 years, was a retired supervisor for American Synthetic Rubber in Louisville KY, was a professional baseball umpire, held memberships with Scottsburg United Methodist Church and Scott County Moose Family Center #2324. Survivors: son, Rick Altemeyer (Kim), of St. Meyer FL; daughters, Dana Jo Adams (Ernest) of Louisville KY & Debra Lynne Hutchison of New Albany IN; stepsons, Richard Wayne Hundley (Paula) of Louisville KY & Robin Dale Hundley (Kim) of Crestwood KY; 6 grandchildren, Ashley Kate Adams, Wesley Chace Adams, Audrey Belle Adams, Morgan Beth Hutchison, Kendra Altemeyer, Nick Altemeyer; 5 step grandchildren, Collin Hundley, Jordan Cox, Jenny Alvey, David Hundley, Nick Hundley; 5 step great grandchildren, Molly Knewasser, Ava Hundley, Payton Knewasser, Ella Alvey, Emma Hundley.
