57, of Austin IN, died Saturday, March 27 2010 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus IN. She was born December 10 1952 in Seymour IN to Elmer Vierling & Gladys Lloyd Vierling. She married David Stainbrook April 12 1980. Marilyn was a graduate of God's Bible School in Cincinnati OH; member of Pilgrim Holiness Church in Madison IN; a medical transcriptionist at King's Daughters Hospital in Madison & a cashier at Cracker Barrel in Scottsburg. Survivors: husband David Stainbrook; sons Perry Stainbrook & wife Tonya of Scottsburg, Benjamin Stainbrook of Scottsburg, Nathan Stainbrook of Austin, & Matthew Stainbrook of Austin; daughter Rebekah Stainbrook of Austin; brother Victor Vierling of Seymour; Shirley McCasland of Seymour; 3 grandchildren Christina Stainbrook, Aaron Stainbrook & Andrew Stainbrook. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation: 4pm-8pm, Tuesday, March 30 2010 & after 11am Wednesday at Stewart Funeral Home. James "Sam" S. Timberlake,
96, of Lexington IN, died Friday, March 12 2010 at St. Vincent-Salem Hospital in Salem IN. He was born November 21 1913 in Harrison County IN to Gus F & Flora D Shireman Timberlake and was married to Irene Gates Timberlake. Sam was a retired heavy equipment operator with road construction in Scott, Clark & Washington counties; a member of Scaffold Lick Baptist Church; & a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during W. W. II.  He is survived by a niece & caregiver Denise Thomas; a sister-in-law Wanda Colin & several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother & a sister. Visitation: 4pm-8pm, Tuesday, March 16 2010 & after 9am, Wednesday March 17 2010 at Stewart Funeral Home, Inc. DeVon K Cunningham, 88, of Scottsburg IN, died Saturday, February 27 2010 at Floyd Memorial Hospital & Healthcare Services in New Albany IN. He was born November 3 1921 in Kansas Illinois to Ora Harrison Cunningham & Dillie Cecile Turner Cunningham both deceased. He was married to Joyce L Sanders Cunningham who also is deceased. Mr. Cunningham was a retired music teacher having taught for 35 years; was a former band director of Austin High School, & retired from Bartholomew Consolidated Schools. He was a graduate of Emerson High School in Gary IN; obtained a BS at Western Kentucky & a Masters at University of Louisville. He was a member of First Christian Church of Scottsburg; was a former choir director, former deacon & superintendent at First Christian Church; a former member of Scottsburg Lions Club & a life member of NEA (National Education Association). Survivors: sons Terry Bradley Cunningham & wife Louetta of Conroe TX and DeVon K Cunningham II, of Scottsburg. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers. Visitation: 4pm-8pm, Monday, March 1 2010 & after 9am Tuesday at Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 11am, Tuesday, March 2 2010 at the funeral home with Larry J DeWitt officiating & burial in Scottsburg Cemetery.
