Fay Gross,
94, of Ft. Myers FL & formerly of Salem IN and the Little York IN area, died
Sunday, May 23 2010 at Hope Hospice in Ft. Myers FL. She was born July 31 1915
in Gibson Township Washington County IN to Hershel & Florence Hawn Johnson. She
was married to Herman Gross. Fay was a graduate of Little York High School, a
member of the Little York Christian Church, and was retired from Smith Cabinet
as a fitter. Survivors: husband Herman Gross of Ft. Myers FL; daughter Brenda
Saunders & husband Bob of Ft. Myers FL; 3 step grandchildren Christine Dwyer
(Ed), Kim Vasquez (Jon) & Michelle Blackwell; & 4 step great grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Janet Sue, a brother Oral
Johnson; & sisters Hazel Morris, Olive Telle & Beulah Rutherford.

L Allen,
89, of Scottsburg IN, died, Thursday, May 20 2010 at Clark Memorial Hospital in
Jeffersonville IN. He was born April 26 1921 in Scottsburg IN to Charles S &
Pearl M Alexander Allen. Robert was a veteran of the Army Air corp during WWII;
was a retired accountant with Morgan Foods in Austin IN; a member of Austin
Christian Church; member of Scottsburgh F&AM #572; member of American Legion &
VFW. Survivors: nephews Stanley Allen, Michael Allen, J.W. Allen & David Allen;
nieces Glenda Buckner & Gloria Cullison; & a special friend Dorthea Robbins. He
was preceded in death by his parents & 2 brothers Charles S Allen & John W
Allen.

Diana L Dever,
57 of Scottsburg, died at her residence on Thursday, May 6 2010. She was born
June 3 1952 in Louisville KY to James T Curtsinger & Doris Jean Fox Curtsinger.
Diana was married to Danny Dever. She was formerly employed at Davis Brothers
Truck and was a member of New Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors: husband
Danny Dever; daughter Rhonda Morton (JR) of Louisville; brother Keith Curtsinger
of Meade Co KY; sisters Brenda Luttrell & Linda Gaddie both of Louisville. 5
grandchildren, Andrew & Tabatha Elliott & Brandon, Clint , & Nathan Morton; and
many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents & a brother
James "Bo" Curtsinger.

Lula Belle Plummer, 69, of Scottsburg IN, died, Sunday, May 2 2010 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville KY. She was born October 31 1940 in Scottsburg IN to Forrest & Ethel Smith Ryker. Lula was a member of Harvest Chapel in Jeffersonville IN and was a CNA (certified nurse assistant). Survivors: son Thomas Eugene "Gene" Plummer II; brother Lloyd Ryker, niece Rose Hall, Close Friend Vicki Elder. She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, 2 brothers & 2 sisters. V Spry,
89, of Blocher IN, died at her residence, Saturday, May 1 2010. She was born May
24 1920 in Deputy IN to Burlie & Goldie Taylor Eador. She was married to Cecil
Charles Spry who died April 5 2009. Mamie was the former postmistress of Blocher
IN & was previously employed at the proving ground during WWII and a homemaker.
she attended Pisgah United Methodist Church & Scaffold Lick Baptist Church.
Survivors: her caregiver Rita Bailey along with many nieces & nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers Woodrow Russell Eador
& Perry Roscoe Eador & a sister Edna Walker.

George L Snell, 78, of Lexington IN, died Thursday, April 29 2010 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg IN. He was born December 31 1931 in Madison IN to Floyd & Mary Belle Massey Snell. George was a former merchant Marine, a heavy equipment operator for the State of Indiana, a member of Madison American Legion & Madison Eagles. Survivors: sons Roy Snell (Patsy) of Nabb IN, Daniel William Snell (Carrie) of Scottsburg IN, Mark D Wayne Snell of Nabb IN; daughter Lisa Combs (Larry) of Scottsburg IN; brothers John Snell of Milton KY & Bill Snell of Hanover IN; 8 grandchildren: Christina Wimsatt, Kyle Andrew Combs, Christopher Snell, Shawn Snell, Elizabeth Snell, Nicholas Biggs, Philip Andrew Edes, Mark Jayden Snell. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Gina Sprung, a brother Floyd Snell & a sister Rosie Saurge. Services will be private for the family.

84, died Wednesday, April 28 2010 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour IN. He
was born June 18 1925 in Orange VA to Benjamin Franklin Eaheart & Goldie Breeden Eaheart. His
second marriage was to Lorena Petri Eaheart. Paul was retired as manager of
Coleman Gas Co in Louisville KY. He was a member of the Lexington Christian
Church in Lexington IN; Clark #40 F&AM; and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
Survivors: wife, Lorena "Deanie" Eaheart of Austin; stepsons Steve Richey
(Debra) of Aurora IL & Jeff Richey (Carol) of Norfolk VA; sisters Hazel Hignett,
Anna Schriber, Nancy Hayes, Betty Porter; stepgrandchildren Amanda Richey, Kevin
Richey, Jason Richey, Travis Richey; He was preceded in death by his parents,
his 1st wife Hilda, stepgranddaughter Melanie Richey, & brother Robert Eaheart.

James V "Penny" Mayfield,
91, of Scottsburg IN, died Tuesday, April 27 2010 at Scott Memorial Hospital in
Scottsburg IN. He was born July 26 1918 in French Lick IN to Roscoe & Lillie
Sanders Mayfield and was married to Polly Mayfield. Penny was a retired driver
for Greyhound Bus Lines, a retired driver for Toby Tours & had also been a
mechanic at the Indianapolis 500. He was a member of First Christian Church of
Scottsburg formerly serving as Elder & Deacon & a member of China Marines
Association. He served as a Marine during W.W.II. Survivors: wife, Polly
Mayfield; daughter, Joyce Cerovac of Bella Vista AR; sons, Glen Mayfield (Diann)
of Avon IN & Sandy Mayfield (Sheila) of Agoura Hills CA; 6 grandchildren: Scott
(Julie) Cerovac, Elizabeth Kardynalski, Jennifer Combs (Christopher), Douglas
Mayfield (Shanna), Kristin Mayfield, Andrea Copeland (Don); 14 great
grandchildren:Kayla Kardynalski, TJ Kardynalski, Aaron Kardynalski, Tyler
Kardynalski, Logan Farmer, Caroline Combs, Braden Mayfield, Colton Mayfield,
Preston Mayfield, Kadence Copeland, Allegra Copeland, Cameron Cerovac, Christian
